What Is Respite Care?
Respite care is planned, temporary support that gives parents and caregivers time to rest, attend appointments, manage essential responsibilities, or take a needed break while their child receives safe, individualized support.
Some families schedule respite weekly to protect rest and routine. Others use it during a demanding season: a new baby, a hospital stay for a sibling, or a stretch when everything is happening at once.
